It's been a busy couple of weeks, filled with parties and birthdays and trips to Paris.

My birthday party weekend, was two weeks ago and I felt like I was part of 'My Super Sweet Sixteen' for the whole time. I went for a fake tan on the friday, then all my family and friends set up camp at our house for the friday night and we watched home movies from when I was a little baby. I was adorable, just saying haha.
Then on saturday we all trailed all out worldly possessions (or one suitcase each) to the hotel where my party was being held and got set up in the rooms, had a few drinks in the bar and generally all chilled out together.
In the evening all of my friends and us piled into one bedroom and all got ready together while drinking champagne. It as so nice.
The party started at 8:30 and everyone arrived on time which was great because I was so worried that everyone would be late. I had the most fantastic evening and everyone was having a good time and the food was delicious. I cannot believe it all went over so well. Definately chuffed with all the effort everyone put in.
Then on the sunday we all woke up late after staying the night at the hotel. Had a long lazy breakfast, and went and spent some time in the Spa, blissful. It was the perfect weekend.

Then last weekend, me, my mum and dad and Elisabeth flew out to Paris just to spend some time for the holiday season and we decorated my dads flat with tinsel and ribbons.
We also discovered this lovely Greek restaurant just down the street, which I think is gonna be one of my favourite's now.

Hope everyone is well and looking forward to christmas.

It was my birthday on Friday. My 18th Birthday. Meaning, I am officially an adult in the eyes of the law (although I feel anything but if I'm honest).
On Friday morning I got up and mum, dad and Looby had decorated the conservatory with balloons and banners and sparkly things. We had chocolate pancakes and opened presents. I got a lovely Tiffany bracelet from my sister and a a Chanel J12 watch in black from my mum and dad.
At school they'd got me a cake and we sang nd it was so nice.
In the evening my closest friends and I went out for dinner and drank champagne.

Next weekend I'm having a massive party for everyone I know and love.
Its at this old mansion type hotel and I have the most beautiful dress to wear. I can't wait, its all so exciting.

What did everyone else get when they turned 18?

Feeling slightly more upbeat than in my last entry, thank goodness.
Although I've been strangly pre-occupied with my single status as of recent.
Why is it that as soon as I finish a relationship I'm on the search for someone new? I shouldn't need a boyfriend to validate me.
Oh dear I think there's something fundamentally wrong there.
Anyway I'm sat watching Sliding Doors (I love that film so so much) and it's my birthday on friday, so everything is pretty good at the moment.

Hello
Its been a while I guess.
Back from holiday and also unfortunately back at school, and this is my final year so pressure is on.
Holiday has kinda flowed over into my real life as well though. Met a lovely boy staying in the same hotel as us. He's called James, he's 21 and he's just finished Uni. Spent loads of time with him on holiday but he went home before me and so I just assumed that was that. But then I'm going up to Leeds Uni next thursday to look around, and in passing he offered to show me around =) which I'm pretty happy about to be honest. When I got his text I did a little happy dance around my room, which is a bit lame so I'm glad no one saw haha.

And then tonight is my friend Laura's 18th party, so we're all going to the park where there's this concert tonight and you have a picnic and listen to music, it's going to be great. I can't wait.

hope everyone's happy

xx

So I'm actually on holiday at the moment. In Greneda and its spectacular, so so nice here.
Plus we've met some pretty awesome people, new friends who I definately hope I can keep in touch with when we go home.
Which leads me to the other night, funny story. After dinner we all decided to stay in the BAr for some drinks. The Bar closes at 12:30 so at 12:15, James tells everyone to go and order as many drinks as they could so we could stock pile. He disappears and comes back minutes later with two massive pitchers of beer from the other bar by the pool. We basically ended up with about 35 beers, 15 rum and cokes, 2 bottles of champagne and these pitchers. There was 9 of us. We played a few games etc. And then at about 4am someone suggested it would be a really good idea if we all went swimming in the sea, which we did obviously. I don't actually remember this part but I've seen pictures. Finally got to bed around 5am and had to get up at 7:30 for a scheduled dive we couldn't cancel. Went down in the morning and none of the bar staff would look at us because apparently we'd been a bit too noisy. Oops. That evening (which was two nights ago) no one was allowed more than 2 drinks from the bar and they were ID-ing everyone. So so funny.

Hope you're all having fun.

xoxo

I've been so busy, but it's too difficult to think of the details to write down so I'll summarise them instead haha.

Finished at B-Unique, they were lovely and said I could come back whenever I wanted, so I'm hopeing to do so next summer.

Then my family and some friends went on holiday to Tuscany for a week. We stayed in a villa in a village called Portofino and spent most of our days soaking up the sun by the pool (not that you can tell, I have no tan whatsoever) although we did venture into Pisa and Florence to do the usual tourist things.
We flew home on Sunday.

Then yesterday I had my driving test and I passed! Completely shocked as I was confident I was doomed to fail but it's very exciting. I already drove to the post office haha, how lame.

Today we are off on holiday again, this time to Tobago and Greneda for two weeks. I'm actually sat in the Virgin Lounge at Gatwick right now, and some lovely lady has just offered to make me pancakes. Fantastic.

So thats me caught up, hope everyone else is having a good summer as I am!

Okay so this is gonna sound really wierd but...

I'm sat in my office and there's these two girls who have come in to audition and they've been asked to play a song that they've written and I am almost 100% convinced its Give Love A Try from the first episode of J.O.N.A.S.
They've changed it up a bit, but the main melody is the same and they were singing the same lyrics I think...(you are like driving on a sunday, taking off on monday?)
And they said it was their own song?
I don't know what to do. Because obviously the guys (my bosses) have never watched an episode of J.O.N.A.S, can't say I'm surprised. But I might be wrong (I don't think I am) and also I'm meant to be minding my own business and just doing intern stuff.

Argh!! Help!!

Hello everyone

Its been a long time since I wrote an entry! I have been so busy these past couple of weeks.
We had sports day at school, which was pretty fun and me and Laura had to organise it since we're House Captain and Deputy House Captain now. We were really stressed because we're by far the smallest House out of four and so we didn't really have enough people for all the events, but apparently what we lacked in numbers we definately made up in talent because we won overall! It was amazing, we got a massive trophy and that was really good.  PLus I won the High Jump and the Long Jump which is always nice.

And then I went to Junior Spors Day the next day and the little kids were so amazingly cute! And we won that as well, so a pretty good week for our house really.

This week I'm doing my Internship. I was meant to be working at Warner Bros. Records but when I turner up on Monday at Nine, they were basically like 'who are you?' which was so embarassing and made me really angry because I've been trying to organise this for months. So I left and rang their HR department to complain and they were very apologetic and managed to get me placed somewhere else. So now I'm at B-Unique Records who look after bands like the Kaiser Chiefs and the Twang. Its really nice, they gave me my own office and I get to make as much tea as I want to haha. At the moment my jobs is to go through the Demo's they've been sent, and if I like one I forward it on and if I don't like it I bin it. It kinda feels like a big responsibility. Oh, and they have an office dog called Ernie who is really cute.

So there we are. Caught up again. I hope everyone is alright.

Today was a really amazing day to be honest. It was sunny and about 23 degrees so we packed up a picnic of chicken sandwiches and strawberries and cream, drove out into the countryside and laid down picnic blankets next to a river. It was glorius and we ate and played music and me and dad had an game of football and then we all had a bit of a snooze in the sun and woke up feeling very relaxed.
This afternoon I sat in the back garden with my acoustic and wrote the first song I've been resonably happy with for a long time. Its still just the bare bones but I think it could really be something worth listening to.
I hope everyone else is having a good weekend too

Hey so It's my first History exam tomorrow and I'm kinda/very scared, but I've prepared so hopefully it'll be alright. The weather here is gorgeous at the moment, I don't know how many of you are in England but seriously I was sunbathing yesterday and it almost felt like I was actually abroad somewhere lying in the sun, it was that nice. In fact I even have a bit of sun burn on my shoulders to prove it.

So update other than revision? Hmmm... went to my friend Ka-Mun's birthday BBQ last tuesday which was really fun and we all stayed outside until past midnight, playing football and drinking Smirnoff Ice. Then we all crowded into the living room and played singstar for far too long and I got really really competitive about it, but we won so it was okay!

Aside from that, not much else really although I can't wait until after exams so that I can get my social life back. I have been dying to go shopping for weeks now I've just haven't had the time =(

Hope everyone's enjoying the weather

So erm for my singing lesson I had to pick a song I like and record a cover of it, I picked Burning Up by the Jonas Brothers and before I hand it in I was wondering if I could get some opinions?

I know some of the high notes are a bit... out of tune and I'm in the process of fixing them so this is just a rough version, but its in for tomorrow so I'm in a hurry lol.

Oh and I changed some of the words up a bit because I'm a girl.
No rude comments about my lack of talent please =D

Let's Get Excited
I'm so excited
I'm a detective I'm all over you

Its been a hectic week, I've already done two exams! Granted one of them was General Studies so it didn't really count  lol but the other one was psychology which I wanted to do well in so I studied really hard. I actually got some pretty goosd questions for it, the essay was about why people obey and I just basicaly talked about Milgram and agentic shift for 4 pages. Hope its okay.
My next one is Mechanics on Thursday and then Physics1 on Friday eep.

Not much else to say really...I've booked my driving test, it's  agges away so I can get my confidence up but I'm already rather nervous and pretty sure that I'm going to fail first time, it took my mum four attempts and my dad 3 times, so I'd don't think my family were born to drive haha

Oh and did anyone catch Eurovision?  I think we did really well! I mean fifth? Best we've done in years. My only problem with the song I think was that there was no climax or crescendo really. It was sort of the same all the way through, although still beautifully sung. So yeah.

Hope everyone is okay =D

28 April 2009 @ 08:39 pm

So I went to see Derren Brown last night with my Psychology class (basically just so we could go on a trip, it had no relevance to our course) and I won't ruin it for anyone who's going to see it, but it was amazing, so so good. I hadn't really seen a lot of his stuff before so I wasn't altogether too sure how I was going to feel about it all, but I definately had the most fantastic time. And the weirdest thing was even though he doesn't claim to be a psychic (infact he calls them all fakes) sometimes you just thought 'but how on earth....?'

I got all my mocks back and I'm pretty pleased, I got A's in Maths and Psychology, a B in History and a C in Physics which is the only one I am slightly disappointed with, but there is time to improve. The chemistry department had a bit of a crisis, with over half the students getting a U in one of their papers, a few of my friends are in blind panic because of it., I'm so glad I opted out of taking it.

I've got three concerts for the next three nights and my throat is sore, so I'm slightly worried. Plus I have to learn all of my Grade Eight pieces and the latin just won't absorb into my brain, mostly because I have no idea what it means. Oh well, I'll try.

Hope you all had a good weekend? It was so sunny here so a group of my friends and I went to the park to do a bit of sunbathing which was a lot of fun.

So I am sitting with just under three hours until my very last exam of Mock week, which doesn't sound like that much of a big deal but I have been so stressed that it will be fantatsic to have a bit of a break until the real things in a couple of weeks. They've gona okay, there were a couple I think I completely bombed in, but most of them I feel comfortable with.

I have tomorrow off from school so a group of friends and me are gonna go to the park if it's sunny and have a bit of a picnic, we've got a whole lot of food sorted out, a picnic basket, ipod and speakers and a frisby. It should be fantastic, I am looking forward to it a lot.

Thats me caught up for a while, hope everyone is okay.

So I went to see 17 Again on wednesday. I enjoyed it, the story was alright can't say it will win any Oscars haha but it didn't make me want to walk out, even if it was resonably predictable and there were some funny bits (albeit most of those bits were shown in the adverts). The main point of the film obviously was Zac Efron (as was apparent when he first walked on the screen and half the cinema started screaming) and I can honestly say I was not dissapointed at all. Especially since he drove around in an Audi R8 which is my absolute dream car. Any way enough of me blathering on, I leave you with some pictures of his loveliness from Interview magazine:

watching Hairspray after just finishing a mammoth round of Guitar Hero with my dad who is it's new number one supporter.  Went to Paris over the weekend, the weather was lovely and we went ton a picnic in the the Jardin de Luxembourg and sunbathed on the grass eating croissants. Lots of cute french boys haha. We also went shopping again in the Galleries Lafayette to get my sister a Prom Dress for her prom in a couple of weeks. She got the most gorgeous dress, I'm jealous I didn't find it myself. On wedensday me and some friends are going to see 17 again to oogle at Zac Efron, I can't wait, even if the movie won't be all that great haha.
Hope everyone had a good Easter

I have no compulsion to blog anymore, it's odd but even as I'm typing this now I'm thinking I don't have anything to write about so why bother. So, what have I been up to?
Two weekends ago I went down to London to stay with some friends whilst my parents went to Milan for a short holiday. London was fun, we went shopping and had dinner at this lovely place called Novo Ono. Then last weekend I went to Newcastle for the weekend to spend some quality time with my aunt and uncle since I hardly ever get to seem them. Once again I went shopping, I love Fenwicks its my favourite department store ever, and out to dinner at Cafe 21 where I was sat at a table next to Alan Shearer, very cool.
This week I'm off school and although thats nice it also means revision which I hate.
Thats it then, more soon maybe.

I have been doing at lot recently. I was in America last week, skiing in New Hampshire mostly but I had a look around Harvard University as well, just out of curiousity  to see what options are open to me. It was lovely, all the buildings were fantatstic.
This friday I should be going quadbiking so I'm really looking forward to it.
Thats really all I have to say. Just a short update.
